She served as CEO and senior executive of major national healthcare associations, working on legislation related to human trafficking, youth safety, and public health. Cate holds a BS in Journalism from the University of North Texas, an MBA from Texas Woman’s University, and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE)—a distinction held by fewer than 5% of association professionals.

Cate lives in Grapevine with her partner and is running to restore fairness, opportunity, and grace to Texas government.
